Why???? Almost BSN, discrimination stopped me

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

I have been reading about nurses going through sad discrimation with patients. I, lost my chance to be a "BSN" because My Administrator only cate for blond/blue eyes students, I am Italian by blood, born in south america, my hair is red, my eyes are brown and my hudband is a physician (he always thought that was the reason she didn't like me 😥I have not been able to get over that, what could u tell me when is too late now (I am now too old)

although I would go for it in a second if I could.

I wish I would have found you Wonderful Nurses

before.

I am making you waste your time, but, reading all the help everyone gets here, I decided to go for and let you know. I will die with the PASSION of being a nurse. I had worked with pts. As a tech. I had the Best Support from everyone: Classmates, Professors, Proctors, My dear Family, Everyone. I allowed this lady to freeze me

So you're over 65? Possibly that's too old.

I don't know what you are looking for. If you are at retirement age then I guess you're too old to go to nursing school. Otherwise, what is it you want?

I have no idea if discrimination played a role in you failing out of school or if it was something else. I've seen some pretty crazy stuff blamed on discrimination when the reality is there were valid reasons for getting dumped out of school.

Maybe you got a raw deal. Maybe not. If you want to be a nurse, and I guess your husband earns enough as a physician to put you through school, why don't you just go to another nursing school?

This is a new one for me. I've come across a lot of 'discrimination' claims, but can't recall any based on hair color.

Or possibly this woman is just jealous of the OP's marriage to a physician.
