I am sooooo happy ....I finally got a job as a PCT at Fl. Hosp. in Orlando....here i come nursing...they are willing to work w/ my school schedule...excellent continuing ed programs...will pay for nursing school...have there own college & will pay for me to get my BSN there if i choose too...room to learn a bunch of skills.... if u ask me I will have no problem working my @ss for as a PCT if I get all these benefits...and the floor that hired me Pulmonary unit...the people are grrrreat ...i can go on and on...i am sooo happy after about 5 months of waiting....

Little ole me again...Yep, it's official... I am now an employee of Fl Hosp...got my id badge and all..:rotfl:
Frankie....I will be training at the orlando location but I will be at the Altamonte location fulll-time ...its right down the street from my apartment:p And you will have the title of nurse tech and the pay will be more...
I was told by many nurses and by you guys of course..that being a PCT is the way to go...also when I was doing the interview the nurse manager said will be seeing some intubations (sp?) cuz i will be on the pulmonary floor...
Your right leaflet my experience as a PCT will be invaluable ...learning time mgmt skills, accu checks, foleys etc...I am also sure that i will have some stressful days but hey that is expected when your dealing w/ the ill.
