Anyone else out there starting in Fall at PSU Altoona? Super excited!
Ok I also just e-mailed Dr.**** becasue I was confused. I went to the Altoona Registrar and found all of the classes we need to schedule. There is a Recommended Academic Plan for Second Degree in Nursing (NURS/SCND at Penn State Altoona and Penn State Harrisburg) that I followed to see which classes we are supposed to schedule. I'm just going to wait to hear back from Dr. **** incase we are supposed to wait until June 24th to schedule.
Yes, I've seen the recommended academic plan too. I'm not sure if it is different for anyone else, but I know as a transfer student I'm not sure what classes they are going to accept to go towards my degree and what I will have to petition. Basically, I think I need to speak with an advisor LOL
By transfer I mean from an entirely different state/university
I'm so excited to just get started already, or at least it be May 1st so I can get a jump on all of our requirements prior to entering the program. Do you or know anyone that uses the PSU student health insurance plans? I'm kind of in a tough spot health insurance wise, my husband is in the process of getting out of the Army, which means my current health insurance (Tricare) is null and void May 10th. Which creates a dilemma for proof in health insurance. Basically I was wondering if I purchased the student plan, if i'd be able to charge it to my bursars account.
Ok CertifiedBackground.com. Everything will be open and available to us on there beginning May 1st. CPR you can take with lifelink. I actually scheduled mine for May 21st today because that is the soonest one after our May 1st date we can do. It's in state college. Here is the link I used and called to confirm with AHA Healthcare Provider CPR and recertification - Centre LifeLink EMS*
