Who Said This?

I remember reading a thread a few weeks ago, where a poster mentioned a quote that she heard from her professor; which was something along the lines of "Why should your **** poor planning become my emergency?".

That quote stuck to my head like a neon light and became my mantra, and I shared it with a friend of mine that understood why it was important to me, and adapted it to herself. It basically spelled out how we have to look at things. Managers and supervisors think this way, schools, it applies to life.

I wanted to PM the person who shared this quote to say that I appreciate it, and you never know how something one says, even via these forums can actually improve our lives. Thank you!:w00t:

Yeah, I always heard that as:

A lack of planning on your part does not constitute an automatic emergency on mine.

Well I don't know if you read it in MY post. But I know I quoted this to someone recently cause I thought it was so profound and really hit home for me personally.

This is what I wrote in the other post.

"Your failure to plan should not constitute an emergency on my part".

P.S.

I always tell my friends that you don't have to take my advice, but since you asked you now DO have to hear it:lol2::lol2:. Take it with a grain of salt and do what is best for you!>>

I don't want to take credit for someone else but if you read MY post and you got something out of it, then I am grateful that I was able to share part of my experience with you.

I tried to find out who the originator of the saying was, but was unsuccessful. Whoever said it first really has had an impact on many, many people

I love Allnurses..........what a great community.

Angela.

:w00t:Angela...the fact that you shared it was enough for me. You wouldn't believe how many of my friends have taken on that mantra since that post...almost like a cult following. Yes, I am thanking YOU because you shared it! It is great here, isn't it??:redpinkhe
