Hello allnurses!! I have registered for my classes beginni(prof nursing A/B and technical writing) now I am excited and eager to begin! Who's starting with me? Quick question..... How many prerequisite classes do/did u have to take? 5 for me including tech writing . Is the program truly 9,000 w/o prerequisites? How much more could an additional 5 classes be??? I look fwd to hearing from u guys (old and new classmates)
Aww MBrickle I was looking forward to starting tech writing with you on 4/8/13but its okay we'll be in prof nursing a/b together :).[/quote']
I got them to waive 3 courses and take classes from my undergrad! Thank goodness! So I dodged the technical writing bullet along with english comp 1!
I start 4/8/13 too, with Prof. Nursing A/B and Tech Writing. I have 3 pre-reqs to take (tech writing, Texas govt., and US History II I think). I'm kind of nervous about taking 2 classes right off the bat while working full-time and homeschooling! I will make it work somehow though, I have to! Anyway, glad to have some "classmates" on here to share the experience with!
Yay! I look forward to working with you as well. I have the same pre-reqs (But they also said I need an upper level lit and medical terminology). I'm starting a/b on 4/8 as well! So I already messed up LOL I was trying to save on shipping so I ordered the APA book from Amazon & I bought the 6th ed instead of 2nd. Think it will be a big deal?
OP, I have 1 prereq to take (sociology) but I haven't decided when I'll take it yet. Also I got an email that said the class will show up in blackboard on Saturday @ 8 am.
And hey to another homeschooler!!
I have found the first week to be challenging...mainly because if my work schedule doesn't adhere to the due dates for the first assignments then I find myself scrambling to complete them...luckily I have been able to use the weekends to get ahead. I hope that continues!
Thanks for sharing. This gives me an idea of what to expect. It seems that you have quickly developed a strategy though (getting ahead on the weekends). Keep me posted!
This is a dumb question: how do you find courses that will begin in the future? I know they add a list of semester courses on the RN-BSN pages on the website, but how else can I got about finding them? I'm going to attempt to make a schedule that outlines when I plan to take most class's! Thx!

Sorry I misread! Based on my experiences with Blackboard, it won't show up until the day the course starts.
