Hello everyone just wanted to start a thread to see who applied anyone is welcome I'd love to hear from all of you. I applied on the first day that aplications were being accepted and only had 28 points. Not sure if that will be enough to get in on the first try. Does anyone know how many people are accepted each semester? And how they will notify. Will it be by e-mail?
Hope to hear from some of you soon

Hi! I applied the first day too! I had either 29 or 30 points. I know we will hear back through email if we get accepted or not. I'm nervous and not sure if I'll get in the first try either, but am very anxious to hear from them! Good luck :)

Hi everyone! I think it's getting close. Judging by past threads, cypress emails out acceptance/rejection/alternate lists the first week of December. So fingers crossed, next week should be a fun or horrible week lol either way the suspense is excruciating!!! good luck everyone. keep updating if you hear anything.

I applied with 28 points the first day. From what I've heard, you can expect a rejection or acceptance email the first week. Most likely going to be the 1st through the 4th since they are closed on the weekend.
They factor strictly off of points. When they get down to a tie/ 4 spots left for 7 students with the same points for example... They go off of highest to lowest GPA. If there is still a tie, they go down to time of application down to the second.
Also applied to mt SAC and got accepted, but this school is my first choice since its so close to my house.
Ive been checking my email every day just in case! Haha
And to answer your question, it's 30 people per cohort. Alternates are offered acceptance for the fall
This is probably the dumbest question but, how do we know how many points we have? I don't remember filling out a point breakdown like I did for santa ana college or golden west.
Go to this link.
RN Workshop Handouts
Click on selection criteria. The points are broken down into a few categories. Your grade in science prereqs typically has the most impact on your points
Looks like i had 23 points =...[
AAAAAND my hopes are crushed lol
Not necessarilly. Depending on how well you did in your science classes, you can improve your points significantly if you work on the general Ed courses and the other stuff. :) Dont give up!
no, i won't give up. it's just disheartening to think i won't get to start next semester. I'm so anxious and ready. i'm just ready.
omg its coming up! This week already!? I didn't know cypress had an alternate list that's new to me. From what i've heard is that they strongly recommend applicants to re-apply if not accepted the first time they bump you up on the wait list for the next application period. Correct me if im wrong? Good luck everyone!
Has anyone heard from Cypress yet?
