I decided to start a thread for those that have applied to the White Memorial Medical Center New Grad program for March 2015. Good luck to everyone that applied!
Yay! Congrats on getting an interview nori021 (and everyone else who has been interviewed/waiting to interview/going to be asked to interview soon). My panel interview consisted of 4 people and was pretty straight-forward behavioral type questions with a clinical scenario question. And while it is a daunting, nerve-wracking interview it goes by super quick so take deep breaths and when in doubt smile :PSo I wasn't asked about which unit I was interviewing for in the email I received, nor did I discuss it during the panel interview. From what I've seen in previous cohort posts the first interview is a panel with mainly HR folk and the 2nd is unit specific? I'm not 100% sure though and I was way too nervous during the panel interview to remember to ask about that.
happyGOlucky, thank you!! :) I appreciate all your feedback and advice. Yikes... hope the clinical scenario question wasn't too bad! And I believe you're right. From what I've heard, the second round is unit-specific. They place you based on where you fit best! I had a friend who interviewed with a unit they did not preference.
Did any body ask after the interview when we would hear back? I was too nervous i forgot to ask lol
They told me around 2 weeks! But with the holidays coming up, I feel like it could possibly take longer.
Also bcandygurl, I don't think they are interviewing for specific units just yet. I do know that they pay VERY close attention to where you're from, but I don't know how picky they are about it. They asked me about my address several times (over the phone and before my interview started).

I applied to ICU and any rehabilitation service. When I was emailed to come for the panel interview units weren't discussed. Is that only a ED thing?
