I have been offered $24.44 salary for 31 points of visits on salary or I can go pay per visit; which one is best?

What do you think? Do you stop your work week once you hit 31 points, or are they expecting you to keep on working but no increase in pay? Pay per visit may be great if there is plenty of work or too much work and you get better and better at knocking those visits out, but can be limiting if business is slow. I think I would go with the salary because it is more of a sure thing. You won't really know until you find out how the workload is. Have you been able to ask others how they are making out?
Thanks she told me I could always switch if work load was such I wanted to. That sounded fair to me. With the salary position I get benefits, vacation time, Holidays off etc. I like that.
I am hoping this company is descend. They do things where I am going to have my own area and patients I get to see weekly with a LPN working with me. The Admit team does the admits then the patient is reported to me and mine until D'Cd. They furnish all DME and have full disciplines for all the other disciplines. I do get extra money even on salary for everything over 31 points and visits such as RoC's Recerts etc count more than a SNV point so that sounded fair also. They said the words I had wanted to hear from some one continuity of care. Which is very important to me. I was on disability a number of years and coming back was more to me than just a pay check. I actually love nursing and want to make a difference. Every where I have tried to work in HH I love the care of the patients but once they see I am good they load me down so I up till 12 mn and 1 am. I don't want to let nursing break my health again. I need to keep a constant doable schedule. They seem reasonable about this and said they understand. My husband wants me to work at the VA on a regular shift because he does not like me going over paper work till all hours of the night.
I would do what you are doing sitting with one patient at a time but I get too attached and would be depressed when they died.
Thanks for all the support on this forum; you guys are wonderful!

I started at $28.25 + bennies for 40 visit points per week with no HH experience. I am salary and it sucked for the first 8 months or so (worked more like 50+ hours/week) but now less than 40 usually. You might consider a counter offer depending on your region wages.
