Which study resource resembles the NCLEX type and difficulty of questions the most?

Nursing Students NCLEX

I have been using the Saunders 4th edition, NCLEX4000 from lipponcott and recently purchased "Prioritization, delegation and assignment" which I believe is a very valuable resource.

Saunders questions seem to mostly test on straight up content and less on application. So the questions I feel are a little easier.

NCLEX4000 has more application but I have still seen more difficult questions other places.

The Prioritization book has more difficult questions all dealing with priority, delegation or assignment. I am only doing decent with these questions because I am unable to pull knowledge from a bigger picture to help me answer the questions. Which is why I believe there is no amount of studying to help me improve.. If my mental capacity just doesn't allow me to think at a level to answer, it just won't help.

Would anyone be able to tell me which resource they believe to resemble the types and difficulty of the NCLEX questions? I have also looked into Exam Cram, which have difficult questions as well. Thank you in advance.

I did the live Hurst review and the hospital that I did my internship at supplied the online Hurst review. I passed the NCLEX in 75 questions on the first try. She has a way of breaking things down and making them stick. During the NCLEX test I could hear her voice in my head reminding me of what I'm really looking for in the answer. Her review was excellent and VERY entertaining!! :paw::paw:

Pm/email me i have a website that have Kaplan question from the question trainer.:D:typing

hi KAYBDT6 i would like to ask if you can share with me the website? totally appreciate thanks :redbeathe

I completely agree with the above. I also took Kaplan twice and true they do give grest test taking strategies, however they won't save you everytime. Unless you feel comfortable with content, your performance on Kaplan will only cause you to doubt yourself. Atleast that's what happened to me. I am now hitting Saunders questions hardcore. The provided rationales are awesome. Though it can take time to "get into the groove" of doing these questions everyday, I think after a few weeks you will feel more comfortable and have built great stamina of sitting through it.

In all honesty, Kaplan QT's made me tired w/ brief rationales. I will be sitting for the NCLEX for the 3rd time. Good luck to the both of us!

This thread is getting stale, so I hope someone responds...lol. I am scheduled for examination on the 15th of Sept. I am working with Davis's NCLEX-RN Success Second Edition and using the ATI program supplied through my school. I just want to make sure that I am on the right path. I would appreciate any input or web links others may find helpful.

Also looking for a kick in the right direction....

hey i would recommend putting all the lab values that you find in your saunders and writing them on flash cards, that helped me a lot when i took my test. Also go through all the med questions and memorize what times of meds should be avoid with what
