I really need help. I'm currently out of the country and I need to take the prerequisites fully online (no hybrid classes). Which Accredited Nursing BSN or MSN Schools accept science course prerequisites taken online? It is so hard to get through the schools advisors and I don't want to waste my money and time taking these courses online only to find out that these courses aren't even accepted. I was looking into University of Oklahoma Online school which offers most of the science courses online. Thank you for all the help in advance!

Most schools do not indicate on their transcripts anything to distinguish an online course from the classroom version, so there is usually no problem. One must insure though that there is a lab portion to the course and that the catalog description of the course and syllabus indicate that there is a lab portion included. This is the bone of contention with science courses. It is up to the student to make sure the courses they contemplate taking will be accepted by the school(s) they plan to transfer to.

Microbiology online is a problem with the schools I'm hoping to apply to. They are OK with online physiology and anatomy as long as they have a lab component. Keep your syllabus for each class in case there are questions later. Most schools out here are requiring that you take Microbiology with a live/in person lab. I was going to take an online Micro class because the evening class local to me was cancelled - but I checked with the school and they decided it is not transferable.
Good luck...
