Which post-secondary that offers A&P 1 can I get into quickly?

Published

Hello everyone,

This is my first post and please feel free to move it to another topic if I may have accidentally put it in the wrong one.

I am from Vancouver, BC Canada and I'm wondering (to anyone who's a fellow Vancouverite) to which post-secondary institution can I get into taking my A&P 1 course. I'm currently at KPU right now (in their health foundations program) and they have a reputation of being more hard when it comes to their biology but I'm thinking of taking their A&P 1 as a last resort there.

I was also thinking of Langara's A&P 1 since it is transferable over to KPU's, but what's the chance of me actually getting into the course. I'm planning to apply through their Foundations in Health Studies so would that make me priority of getting a seat?

Don't comment anything on Douglas - I spoke to their registrar's office and they treat you like you're completely clueless & utter garbage, when I was just politely asking for more information. Not planning to take it there with that kind of attitude they gave me.

Let me know your thoughts!

Much appreciated :)

Hey!

I am currently in the Health Foundations too and I have already finished A&P. I found the course to be pretty hard but doable since I only took 2 other classes with it. If your looking to apply to KPU's nursing program, then I would suggest you take the course at KPU since the instructors who teach A&P also end up teaching pathophysiology (hardest course) in the program. This way the instructors know what to expect from you in regards to your knowledge about the human body. If you want to get this course done faster then try looking into Trinity Western University, but the course is compressed into only 3 weeks which would mean heavy work load. Hope that helped!

Hi J.gill,

Thanks for the comment. Oh really? The only ones that I know that are teaching A&P At KPU right now are Nick, Douglas & Amy - none of which are teaching pathophysiology later on. I mean they probably all talk with each other about how to teach the curriculum but Joyce & Shawn seem to be teaching pathophysiology. I don't think I'll be able to get in at the TWU since I'm not religious. But thanks for the tips! It definitely has broaden my views on how challenging the course may be.

Hey trackrunner29,

That is very interesting because Douglas recently told me that he teaches pathophysiology. Maybe he meant that his actually planning to teach future semesters. Thanks for clarifying!
