Which GPA is more important (ADN or BSN)

Hi,

I'm applying to CRNA school and wanted to know which GPA is more important, my ADN (about 2.7) or my BSN (about 3.9) My ADN GPA is so low because of a B- in 1st semester nursing and a C in 2nd semester nursing. I really hope the BSN weighs heavier of course. Any insight?

I think your most recent 60 credits and all science courses are most important. If they don't look good, then you might consider taking a few science courses to beef up your application. If they look fine, then I wouldn't worry about a poor grade here and there. 3.9 overall is a great GPA and perfection is boring.

This might be a stupid question, but I just wanted to know -

If your "recent 60 units" does not look good and you decide to take a few science courses to beef up the GPA, would these science courses that you enrolled for be considered as part of your "recent 60 units" GPA?

Generally yes, but programs can add however they want and some may not look at just the last 60 credits. For specifics, you have to contact each program
