  1. Hi RRitter.RN, Did you interview at NEU on 10-18?
  2. I was accepted to St. Joe's and UNE starting Sept. 2010. Plan to go, but now hearing not so positive things. Anyone else in the same boat?
  3. Is there any updated info on loans now that it's over year since the last post?
  4. Thanks a lot for your reply. This really clarifies a lot. I hope you're right since I do fall within the range for all of your given stats. It's good to hear that at least loans are available in all cases.
  5. I just passed yesterday and thought it was hard. Did you receive your certification card yet? I know they say it takes 4-6 wks, but I was hoping sooner.
  6. I received my authorization to test on Friday, 2/26. Did you get yours?
  7. I think the differentiation has to do with what kind of pt. population you're dealing with. I work in a burn/trauma sicu and by the time our patients get PEG's, they're mostly stable and ready to go off to rehab, have been on goal tube feeds for a while with no issues with absorption and no clinical changes otherwise. The NGT/OGT is used during the acute stage when you should check residuals Q4...
  8. Bucknangler, Are you telling us that you were rejected?
  9. The only time I don't check residuals is when the pt. has a Dobhoff tube (usually post-pyloric, and too small to aspirate gastric contents from---the tube will collapse). Otherwise, I check residuals Q4hr. on all pts with NGT's, and pts with PEGs who have had absorption issues.
  10. Thanks for the reply. Are you a SRNA somewhere?
  11. Hi, I'm applying to CRNA school and wanted to know which GPA is more important, my ADN (about 2.7) or my BSN (about 3.9) My ADN GPA is so low because of a B- in 1st semester nursing and a C in 2nd semester nursing. I really hope the BSN weighs heavier of course. Any insight?
  12. Jdog19s, Thanks a lot for the reply and answers to my questions about your program. I can't wait to be in (CRNA school). How many are in your class? Do you know the other stats (average GPA, years experience, GRE score)? I also heard from a friend of a friend that some SRNA's are taking out 25K in loans each semester:eek:---did NEU offer you financial aid, grants? And do elaborate on "...but some clinical sites require certain personalities, some instructors that are at the interview actually request who they want if they think you would be a good fit (or so we have speculated)..." It may be better if you email me privately.
  13. I applied 2 weeks ago too so I called and I was told that they are experiencing a delay. I'll call again next week if I still haven't received anything. I just want to hurry up and take the test so I can start studying for the GRE.
  14. Hello, Any Northeastern University SRNA's out there? I'm in the process of applying for 2011 entry and wanted to know about admission interviews from anyone who recently got in? For SRNA's who already started taking classes, what's your schedule like, when do you start clinicals, do you choose your sites, etc...? Any info would be greatly appreciated.:)
