Where will you be working when you pass NCLEX????

Published

Let's keep our eyes on the ball! We are all worried about passing NCLEX. In reality, the majority of people pass on their first try. The average number of questions that people answer is 110! (I just took an ATI review course through my school and we went over all of this!)

Let's talk about where we will be a few months from now....

I took a job on a stroke step-down unit. I'm so excited to start! There is a new unit director and she is really motivated about getting the unit to mesh well. BUT...I'm also really nervous to start. I feel like a little fish in a big pond again!

Hey Boonersmom! I'm going to work in the NICU also!! I start orientation on 1/14! Haven't scheduled NCLEX yet. Waiting for ATT...

I'm working in the ICU as and starting a 12 month internship on Jan. 22nd.

Oh I see. Hmmm....I guess i can start sending out my resume.

Slevin, its best to apply for several positions during your last semester in school, months ahead before graduation. I was really indecisive during my last semester in school, and didn't apply for a position until 2 months before my graduation (bad move, trust me!), by that time, most of the places that I wanted to work had accepted all the graduates that they needed, and I was stuck on a peds med-surg floor. Luckily, my manager managed to pull some string and got me into the place that I have decided on: NICU. Good luck with everything!
