I'll try to be brief, but need to give a quick background before my questions:
I was finishing up the last of my prereqs this fall, when everything crubmled. I lost my home and my marriage (In the name of honesty, it technically it is not a marriage, as it is not recognized in my state) of 11 years (we were together for 18). I won't get into the details, but suffice it to say, since she was my reason for living and going to school here, that is done.
Now... after the craziness of that semester, I ended up getting a D in micro and dropped my 2nd A&P class. I tried to get through one of the online A&P classes before the application deadline, but THEN, my mom was really sick (needs a transplant, sick) and we had a death in the faimily. That gave me an F in that class, because it was an accelrated course and though my grades were good in everything, I missed the Final. Okay, so my preferred program deadline has come and gone.
I am needing advice on where to apply next. I will apply here in my state (AZ) if I have not gotten into a program by then, but I seriously hope that's not the case, because they only admit in the summer and I don't want to wait a whole year to begin! I have seen some programs that won't even admit you if you have even attempted any of the prereqs more than twice, which I did, though it was two schools. Others won't let you if you have dropped, or had a D or F in more than 1 of them. Also, an issue for me now.
I have a BA in psych, so I don't need any gen-ed stuff and would prefer an accelerated, 2nd degree program, just because of the time it saves. I am open to going just about anywhere, and have done some reseach on programs in CO, WI, ND, SD, WA, FL and ID. I would even consider Canada, if there was reciprocity and if I was sure that I could work back in the states as an option in the future. I also speak fluent Spanish and thought it might be beneficial to attent school in Mexico and learn in both languages...
ANY advice would be appreciated.
The world has no boundaries now.

Im currently living in NW miami FL. I have decided to do my ADN. But havent decided where im going to do my prerequisites. Any school you recommend? Thanks
There are SO many options out there for your chosen degree. I don't know if you have checked out All Nursing Schools | Directory of U.S. Nursing Programs they have some resources to find programs all over the place. Just be aware that it does have lots of advertising pages and links, so do your research before you choose. Best of luck.

First, I think you need to get your grades in order. If you have d's and f's, you need to find out what you can do to fix them. What ever college you go to, find out the policy on grade forgiveness. Get the grades switched. I think you need to talk to an academic adviser and make a plan to get back on track.

First of all I am very sorry to hear all of this has happened to you.
And I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I do not think there is a ABSN program out there that will accept you with those grades, so I would encourage you to retake those classes before you can make any other decisions. If you can pass them now with As and maybe Bs you may find some schools to forgive the grades you had due to personal situations, but that isn't a guarantee either. Some programs specify that they look at first attempt only. Others will be willing to consider your circumstance. However, the bottom line is nearly EVERY ABSN program is extremely competitive. One thing you have going for you in your willingness to relocate. If you remain flexible that will help you.
If you do not mind me asking, what was your undergrad GPA?

University of tn has a great accelerated and regular bsn program. I can say that the university of ms one doesn't look nearly as appealing.

OP - nursing education in Mexico is very different from the US, so it would not provide the basic education to qualify you for NCLEX. FYI, there are NLNAC accredited schools in Puerto Rico.
