was it deleated and why ?
Good question, I just finished viewing and sent you a pm and it's gone.
Opal
It was under the thread, "A word from the Gulf".
No, i started a new thread with specific inf oabout the areas maybe it was a server glitch
Well that is strange. I actually read your post under the thread I mentioned and I checked it is still there. Like you said, maybe a glitch.
Well I guess I will just repost it if it gets deleted again I guess I know I will have broken some rule or something.
The area of Waveland and Bay St. Louis was by far one of the worst hit. The eye wall of the Katrina passed directly through this area. FEMA and The Red Cross Are totally overwhelmed and people are having to survive basically on their own and the water and MREs that FEMA is providing. There is total devastation not one single structure is left standing along the beach road and 99% of homes have significant damage.
I have built a website that is dedicated to my family and friends in particular as well as the areas of Waveland and Bay St. Louis Mississippi with photos taken by me and video.
I am going back this wends to help who can be helped and work in the MASH unit setup in the Wal-Mart parking lot since the area hospital is not usable.

I can sympathize with you. I can't imagine losing my home. I live only 40 min away from Waveland, and although there was alot of damage here, my neighborhood cont to have damaged homes, but still a standing place to repair. My family own(ed) a beach house in Pass Christian, and it is completley gone. My most favorite times, and memories were there, but again, it was my vacation place, not my home. It is very heartbreaking. Wishing you all the best. Laura
