sorry it took me so long to reply - I have been sick for two weeks (and counting)...

I am also starting at San Jac - I have Kirkpatrick for Foundations, and haven't been able to register for the rest yet because I need to turn in my physical form still - doing that this week. It's so cool to find some of my classmates on here!

I was down with a bug too, right after orientation. I broke with it early the Thursday morning after. Must be something really nasty floating around because I'm one of those people who rarely gets anything worse than the sniffles and this thing had me in bed for 2 days! Its been 5 years since anything hit me that hard and I'm still fighting the tail end of it. Good luck!

By the way, if you haven't had your vaccines & phys yet, here's some helpful info.

If you go to the public health clinic at BW8 & Red Bluff (behind McD's) you all your vaccs and TB test for $9, except the Hep series.

The Montrose Clinic will do the Hep shot for $45 (Westheimer, very near where it becomes Elgin, on the edge of downtown).

You can get your physical, labs and rads for $95 at the Moody Health Center (the Chiro college) and its walk-in but, expect them to lose your paperwork for a week or so... happened to me and also happened to a classmate. But they were very nice and apologetic once they found it. As Patsy has been steering people there, I've warned her about the snafus. Still, the dirt cheap price is worth the hassle.

Let me know what your scehdule is. Its interresting to actually find a San Jac student on here for once.

Incidentally, I messed up (and will go edit it afetr I'm done here)... I listed Assessment twice. I've got Fowler for both Assessment and Skills. Rumor mill has it she's one of the better instructors.

Hey there fellow Texans!

I am in Austin, going to ACC. I am still doing my pre-reqs, not in the ADN yet!

Anyone here in the ADN at ACC? Or how about on that 400 +/- waiting list?

Well, I just wanted to say Howdy and Good luck!

Nurse Nini,

I'm also attending ACC and working on pre-reqs, however, I do not plan on going into the ADN program there. I figured it will take me just as long to complete the ADN as it would for me to just complete my pre-reqs and transfer to a BSN program. During the time I would spend on the ACC nursing waiting list, I can have all of my BSN pre-reqs completed and then some. Please PM me and maybe we can chat or get together sometime.

Cheers!

Hello I'm in Cedar Hill suburb of Dallas. Just counting the days to we start back. Sooner we start the sooner we're done
