Where would you take a family member?

U.S.A. Florida

Published

Greetings, all. If you had a sick family member, what hospital in Florida would you use? (It doesn't matter what area of Florida this is in. And it doesn't have to be your own.) I'm trying to find a place to take a loved one. And I'm willing to travel just about anywhere.

Mayo in Jacksonville, FL.

I recently have had to go there myself, I am SERIOUSLY picky about whom I am with regarding my health. EVERYONE from the registration people, the receptionist in the offices, the radiologist techs, the doctors, the nurses (YES they use REAL nurses in the offices) ALL ALL ALL of them have the patient and their welfare in mind. They have an enormous campus, easily accessed, they have people come from all over the country and the world for their caring staff and medical knowledge. I WOULD take and recommend that facility to ANYONE I know or ANYONE I loved.

HERE

This is the link to their facilities, they have a special way to deal with out of town patients, they consult with you about when you will be there and how long you can stay and they cluster your care, as well as can be managed safely, around YOUR schedule.

GOOD LUCK to you and your family.

i agree that mayo in jax is an excellent hospital. my grandmother had surgery there a few years ago and the staff there was awesome.

Mayo is probably the best overall, but there are other great hospitals that excel in certain areas. St. Vincent's (jacksonville) has a great cardiac facility.
