I have worked at a hospital as cna on a critical care unit. I have had to the chance to work with some amazing nurses who have supported me while i continued my education to become a RN. Now i am a RN and currently there are no open positions on the floor at this time. 2-4 months is the wait. Though in my current personal situation i can't wait for the job. Now i am out to find an open position ... I have been told to go for the floor i want while others have said go straight to med/surg. Do i try and make it work and hold out for the job on the unit i have worked as a cna or do i go and journey out for other possibilities? Advice ?

Apply for everything and see who calls back. As of now, there's no actual decision to make, just work to do.
