About a month ago, I got certified as a cna it was the most exciting thing ever and now I am so disappointed. I thought there would be a ton of jobs waiting for me but no one will hire me because I am new, even an agency told me they would not hire without experience and another told me that I would have a better chance if I became a PCA or HHA, so I am now thinking of becoming a home health aide and maybe someone will hire me to work in their home. The only thing that is making me not feel completely sorry for myself is thinking of all the RNs who spent years in school and spent thousands of dollars, while I only spent 2 months and got a scholarship, and still do not have a job also.

Syracuse area looks like it has CNA positions, too. The hospitals and home care agencies do. (I saw that you are upstate NY on your username.)

Are you in upstate? I am in Rochester and you should try St. Anne's Community. It's one of the better LTC facilities and I believe they are hiring.

Hi all, thanks for all your sugestions, i'll look into them even though they are a little far and I don't drive, and the thing that makes it super hard is that they always want experience
