So I have a problem...

I have been a O.R. Nurse for a little over 2 years, It was my first job fresh out of nursng school and I love it but I really want to go back to school to get my master's but I don't know what in. I was thinking nursing informatics because I am really good with computers and technology but I don't want to be tied to a desk. I thought about being an NP but not sure which one I would choose since I still would like it to be related to the operating room. Also I thought about being a CRNA, But I really want a masters degree. What should I do? Is there like a "generic" masters program I could take that would allow me to still work in some sort of OR setting and use my degree to the fullest?

Specializes in Correctional Nursing; MSN student.

You sound like the perfect candidate for a CRNA program! Great salary, OR exposure, patient care...and it IS an advanced degree!

Maybe a CNS or RNFA?

yeah I was thinking RN First Assist as well.

thanks for the advice!
