Today is my day off. I came home and saw that there was a message waiting for me. I called and it was my job. A person with an angry tone of voice told me that I had better get down to the office immediately to take care of all of my medication errors documentation. The angry voice said "So and so already called you about this and you never responded. If you don't have your medication documentation errors taken care of by June 29th you are off the work schedule.":eek:
I was horrified. What were they talking about? Did I make some terrible medication errors that I didn't even know about? So and so had never called me about any medication errors.
I finally found a sane person to talk to at the office. All it was about was a "Medical errors-CEU class that they all wanted us nurses to take!!!!!! That's all. It has absolutely nothing to do about me making any kind of medication error.

Heh, heh, heh. At least they know you are alive!
Thanks caliotter3
Yes, unfortunately, they know I am still alive. I guess they just wanted "To make my day."

I have no idea but they seem to have a lot of them in the medical profession!

I dont care if my agency knows if I'm alive or not as long as they pay me. I had a wonderful period last years where the only contact I had from my agency for 6 months was a paycheck.
Ah bliss.....
OMG tothepointeLVN !!!!! No hassles from your agency for 6 whole months!!!! How did you get that lucky?
Blackcat99,
When they gave me the assignment I was just told I was assigned to work 40hours and to work it out the details with the mother. The field RN showed up maybe once I think but she avoided the office to.
When I was contacted by the agency it was to tell me the mother was reducing my hours and giving it to another nurse. So I quit that case.
Yes, You did the right thing by quitting that case. If my patient's mother reduced my hours I would quit too.
Yeah I wasn't interested in working that case part time.
