I've heard that NSW uses agencies for most of their nursing recruitment, y/n? If not could anybody redirect me to the websites that i may find relative job information? I've been googling for days without any encouraging results... Or should i just go for agencies and how does it work? Can you make contract with a particular hospital the agency placed you if you feel like to stay? Any recommendation of trustworthy agencies working for NSW?
Many many thanks in advance!

Hi can't remember if I am allowed to put links in.... If not Mods please remove & sorry (thank you) If removed then google SESAHS South eastern Sydney area health service, it will take you through NSW health page and you can click on employment, vacancies there.

Just be aware that NSW has a surplus of nurses, you might be better looking at Queensland.
I think that must depend where you want to work then because there are loads of rural nursing jobs and my mum does agency AND casual work an hour from Sydney.
You are right, the surplus is in the cities, Melbourne also, the shortage is very much in the country areas. It's easy to pick up agency/casual work, but harder to find permanent in an area you want, in a specialty you want.

I was planning to go to NSW... is it really true that NSW has a surplus? yikes!
If that's the case.. what states do you recommend aside from NSW and VIC? thanks :)
Queensland, the Northern Territory, Tasmania & Western Australia are really looking for nurses, but I would recommend Queensland, paradise on eath (and I only live in Melbourne cause my beloved does!)
