New grads can apply for the RN2 positions. Good luck in your search! :)
I applied for one of 20 available internship slots in the ED and Obs unit. One of the local hospitals is opening up a new 100 bed level 1 trauma center in September, and is hiring quite a few new grads. I'm hoping to hear something within the next few weeks. I'm in SW Missouri, and while it is competitive, I don't think it is anything like the bigger cities are experiencing.

Hi there,
I'm a somewhat soon to be new-grad and starting to think about my first job. I'm very serious about doing ER nursing but definitely feel like I need a lot more training before I should be allowed near a patient (Accelerated BSN program is leaving my head spinning).
I'm in a market that's pretty saturated right now (rhymes with loston) and I'm willing to move for a couple of years to get a start. I'm just not sure where to look for fellowship programs. I know that there were some amazing ones in Boston within the last 10 years but not sure they are still around.
Is there a place where hospitals list their new grad training programs in one place? I'm confused where to look. I'm pretty much willing to relocate anywhere that has a decent music scene (my other passion) and where I can learn a lot.
Cities I've thought about:
Chicago
Baltimore
Austin
Nashville
New York
San Francisco
LA
But I'm open to any suggestions. I also like living in the country, but I think I'd learn more about trauma living in a city. Mostly I'm looking for a place where I'm going to be able to develop a really strong skill set.
So...where do I look? Monster.com, individual hospital websites?
Thanks!
