Hi everyone!
Just wondering if someone could help me find a college/university in Toronto where I can complete my nursing prerequisites. I'm new to Canada. I'm trying to improve my grades in my prerequisites, so I can apply to York and University of Toronto's 2nd entry nursing.
I've been trying to find a pre-health science program, but can't find any in Toronto, or any close to my area. Any suggestions on what program to take in order to complete the nursing requirements?
All comments/suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks for your help!

You would be able to complete the prerequistes at U of T before applying to a nursing program. The prerequisites listed are a available there.
Thanks! Do you know what program I could major in until I get into nursing? I'm having trouble finding a program that has most of the nursing prerequisites, especially anatomy and physiology.
You don't major in anything. You just take the stuff you need.
Oh okay. I was told by Ryerson that I was only allowed to take a program and its courses, so I thought all universities/colleges in Canada were like that. I'll look more into it, and ask other colleges. Thank you for you help!
It may depend on the school as well. A coworker went to U of T and she did it that way.
Oh I see. I'll look more into U of T. Thank you!

You could also apply for a 'Visiting Student/Non-degree' status and just take the prerequisites. I just did that last semester at York. I needed to get a few more prerequisites and applied for that status and just did the required courses.
That's a great idea. I was reading into that. Is it true that you have to be from another university or hold a degree to be a 'visiting/non-degree student' at York?
Hmm, I am not sure, but you could call York (I think that may be the registrar's office) and ask them about that.
I'll do that, thank you!
Oh and maybe check out the pre-nursing program at Humber. I recall someone saying it was accepted by some BSN programs.
