I'm so happy:) that finally I get the first CNA job b/c I've been waiting for this great opportunity so long. I thought I was day-dreaming when I know I get the job but actually my dream come true. The orientation is on Monday and I'm very excited about it:lol2:. Now I need to buy scrubs but dont know where to get it. So please tell me where I can buy it offline. Also what color of scrubs are CNAs allowed to wear to work? I'll buy it asap once I receive the reply. Thx!!

QUESTIONs:

During Orientation (in the office) do you take notes? How about when you on the floor?

I graduated since last Sept and some of the skills I'm kinda forgot how to do it so I have to read the book over on those skills. This happened b/c I dont use these skills everyday so it kinda faded away from my head.

Like I'm kinda forgot how to measure the blood pressure, am I gonna get training again on this during orientation? B/c this is the skill that I need more practicing, I used to know how to do it but now kinda forgot about it:uhoh3:.

You can try to take notes if you want to, but you probably will not have time to.

Continue to review your skills sheets and the specific procedures that are giving you trouble. If possible, practice a few BPs on friends and family. Facilities don't usually expect newbie CNAs to know everything at the beginning. You will learn so much on-the-job. Don't be afraid to ask questions -- that's what orientation is for.

Thanks CoffeemateCNA for letting me know that color is allowed for CNAs.

Oh, I have one more question, do you have to make your own nametag/ ID badge or the facility provided to you for free?

The facility will provide it for you. Usually that is part of the orientation.
