I am in the first semester of the nursing program at my college. This summer before the Fall semester I am going to have to buy scrubs and shoes because I start clinicals then. Any suggestions on places or websites that have affordable and long lasting gear?

If you are working at a local hospital while in school, some scrub stores offer 15-20% discounts on scrubs/shoes, etc. If you are not working, Walmart has some cheap scrubs. Look online also. I found 6pm.com to have the best prices for Dansko shoes, if you know what size you need.
My school made us wear uniforms to clinicals and usually other schools do the same. So, I only bought scrubs when I actually started working.

I like pulseuniform.com. And they have free shipping with no minimum :)

I recently started using cherokee4less dot com.
We were required to wear Cherokee tops, pants, and jacket while in nursing school; however, the tops and jacket were required to be embroidered by the local scrubs store
This website also carries Dickies. Free shipping on orders of $25 and up. There is usually a promo code that can be used for 20% off a minimum $50 order (excluding Cherokee Workwear). Occasionally, there is a promo code that will give you 20% off everything including Workwear.
Shipping via UPS usually takes 3 or 4 business days (not bad!) Their prices are unbeatable!

Agreed with chicagoing. I order all my scrubs through them. If you're looking for brand other than Cherokee, their master website is scrubwagon dot com. They are the same people that operate Cherokee4Less and their service is amazing.
