Where is the best online NP program

Where is the best online Family NP program? By best I mean..... Where are the instructors concerned about student learning and not trying to do harm to your GPA? Certainly cost is important but more important to me is a quality education that is without the contorversy of difficult to deal with professors who are not there to teach. I plan on studying constantly and writing all the papers that are required. I have heard too many horror stories of NP programs with battle axe professors that aim to see students struggle. For example, I have a good friend who is currently in a NP program here in Alabama, she is extremely frustrated by the attempts of many professors in the program to fail students. According to her, of 80 that started last year they are down to about 1/2 still remaining. They are still in the core concepts, not the clinicals or speciality tracks! That is not what I consider to be a stable learning environment. Surely someone here knows of a good, quality education facility that offers an online FNP track without the associated headaches of a bad program. I attended an online BSN program and loved it. The professors were all genuinely concerned with providing guidance and a quality educational experience. Because of this environment I learned a ton of new information that made me a better nurse. Unfortunately, that school does not have a NP program. Please email if you have any suggestions on a quality educational program for the Family NP. Thank you.

I'm sorry but what a f*cking joke that there are online NP programs....and NP's expect to be respected! Holy cow wow.....never try to sell your profession/ask for advanced roles because this is odd/unsafe/insulting.

Hold on fellow! Are you still using a Walkman and rotary dial phone? Get caught up with the latest distance education research. Maybe even check out the many video resources from medical schools (which we also used) as well as wander over to that doctor forum and listen to all the students talking about doing their lectures via podcasts.

Nope, I just don't spout out an informed opinion unless I've checked out the facts first...as well as have much experience with the subject. Otherwise you let the world know of your ignorance. You know what I mean?

What makes me uninformed? 600/800 clinical hours is actually a fact....Its still a little blurry to me why people strive to compare NP to MD/DO when np curriculum doesnt even marginally compare to PA. Difference between a np and DNP...nothing...hell it is comparable to a MBA, adds little/nothing to diagnostic capability but they expect to be called doctor?

Do you ever stop to consider that the reason why NPs receive fewer clinical hours is because they are trained for a specialty from day one? PAs are generalists, so they need all those hours for each rotation. NPs specialize and their hours are dedicated to one specialty. This is why NPs must go back to school if they want to work in another specialty and PAs do not have to go back. Why is this so hard for people to understand?
