Hi, Praiser!

I'll be starting my first year as a full-time school nurse later this month in southern NH.

This summer I camp nursed and am working per diem at a Hospice House and a Brain Injury Rehab.

Still here. Going back Aug 26th. I'm ready to go back. Did a couple weeks volunteering as nurse at our church camp. Loved that!!

Ready to go back, August 22nd. 2nd year on the job, I really like school nursing.

We start back on August 27th. Summer was great and then many school staff in TX sub district got laid off including my nurse assist on August 3rd by certified letter. We lost 3 nurse assists in all and we hear more layoffs are coming next year. We have a new Superint. trying to cut/save millions. So.....it doesn't look too good. District Nurse doesn't think she'll have a job next year. These jobs are hard to come by and are somewhat unpredictable. I have a Alternative Teacher Certification I have never used that would require a one year internship for PreK-5th but I'll have to compete with experienced teachers. It would be new and different for me, but comfortable. I love working with children. :o :uhoh21:
