We start back on August 27th. Summer was great and then many school staff in TX sub district got laid off including my nurse assist on August 3rd by certified letter. We lost 3 nurse assists in all and we hear more layoffs are coming next year. We have a new Superint. trying to cut/save millions. So.....it doesn't look too good. District Nurse doesn't think she'll have a job next year. These jobs are hard to come by and are somewhat unpredictable. I have a Alternative Teacher Certification I have never used that would require a one year internship for PreK-5th but I'll have to compete with experienced teachers. It would be new and different for me, but comfortable. I love working with children. :uhoh21:
