I would focus on getting through nursing school first! I Graduated December 2011, took Kaplan in January and took the NCLEX IN March.

I'm in your boat as well, I finish my program in the end of Aug-early Sept. I plan to review after graduation, and then take the test at the end of December.

Wait until you graduate. In my opinion, there is no way to really "study" for NCLEX anyways. I did practice test questions but realized afterwards they were a waste of time. The actual NCLEX was prioritization, critical thinking, and general nursing knowledge/principles, all of which you should have a decent grasp of once you graduate.

I started studying for nclex from my second nursing course forward. lol. I was constantly doing nclex questions, from nclex prep books, online, textbook online study materials, school nclex computer materials, Hesi exit exams, etc....
I also did both the Kaplan review & Hurst review. Honestly, I had my nclex today, and I left after 75 questions, and I felt like the questions were easy or I was guessing. No matter how hard I studied, it seemed to me that I was constantly getting med questions on meds I had never heard of!!! Go figure. praying I passed!
