Hi,
I am graduating in April 2009...what is a good time to start studying for the NCLEX exam?
I am from Canada and will write my canadian RN exam in early june of next year and then would write my nclex exam after that.
How early do nursing students usually start studying for it and what are some good review books....there are too many of them in the bookstore to choose from!
Does anyone reccomend prep classes as well...I heard Kaplan was good. I think I would want to take one just because I went to NS in Canada and the NCLEX is supposedly totally different than our exam (ours focuses primarily on psychosocial content)
Thanks!

Focus on getting thru your program first as well as your CRNE. If you are writing that exam, you will need to pass it before you will be given permission to test in the US for the NCLEX exam.
Three months is usually plenty of time, and far too early to start now. You have not even covered 40% of what you will see on the exam.
Best of luck to you.
