This is the best thread yet. I took the NCLEX last year and passed at 75 questions. I was not ready when I was sitting in the waiting room of the testing center. I was not ready when I sat at the computer. I definitely was not ready when the computer turned off. I think of those times now, and I smile, because you'll never feel ready. You schedule the test and stick to the date. Give yourself a study schedule. I did 150 questions a day, reviewing the rationale for each question, whether I got it wrong or right. I gave myself days off and treats. I did yoga. The best things you can do for yourself is practice the questions every day, don't try to teach yourself new topics and take good care of yourself. If you find that you are not dedicated to studying at that moment, stop studying. Do something else and try again later. Always bring water and snacks to the library so you have no excuse to leave. You'll do fine. You made it this far:coollook:
I know!! I feel like I'm just getting started and yet can't believe I'll be doing this for another 3 weeks! I hate reading Saunders though...I'm learning much more from questions than just reading straight through chapters...I feel like I space out every other sentence and don't retain any information, so questions it is!
Oh and I'm doing Exam Cram (1250q) right now and I keep getting like 70-72% and it recommends 85%, so that's irritating me as well! I feel like the more tests I take the less I know! I know scores don't matter as long as you're learning something, but it's still frustrating....LaCharity is next on my list!
I'm very happy that you passed the nclex, if you don't mind telling me what else you use to study like what books u use to all those 4000 questions.........plzzzzzzzzz if you can give the information...thanks a much !!
I did mostly content questions on Saunders cd-rom in study mode. I study content out of Saunders comp review book then I follow up each chapter or subject with 100-200 questions each time. I did questions also out of " Nclex Incredibly Made Easy", Lacharity, Kaplan and a few other questions and answers books.
