*When entering into to lpn Program

Hi, I want to sign up for the lpn program where I am living I was just wondering when signing up for the lpn program through a vocational school is it normally mandatory for you to submit a drug test??

We had to have a drug test and a background test before we started the program and then again before we take our boards. Plus many hospitals require a drug before being hired.
