Does anyone know how soon you can check your results??? I know that it's supposedly by the 3rd day or something here in CA, but is there a specific time as to when the results should be posted?? The wait is killing me and I took NCLEX on Monday June 12th! So I'm becoming real ancy!!!!:uhoh21:

I hope you've read some of the others posts by now, because you could be waiting a long while in CA before you know your results (10-30 days according to the BRN when I talked to them today). They have 5 boxes worth of transcripts still to post (of which, mine has been in for several weeks!) and they won't send out your results or post your name on the license verification board until they have finished processing everything. My friend and I have waited for 3 weeks now. Some people get their results sooner than others depending on who is working on your file, too. Good luck and try to keep busy.

Thanks for the response! The only reason why I had asked is 'coz i've had a couple of friends who have taken NCLEX already and they each checked their results at different times by the 3rd day after they had taken it! So, I was wondering if there was a certain time they said they would have it posted. I had called BRN the other day and they told me that my file was complete and that they had my results. Then, one of my friends that took NCLEX last week was supposed to find out by this past Tuesday if he passed, and his name wasn't posted then. But, for the hell of it we checked it yesterday, and his name showed meaning he passed!!! I don't know.. weird stuff going on with the BRN! Don't they know we need to know ASAP?!!!???

I don't know if it's a combination of budget cuts and employees being on vacation or what, but they don't seem to be in a hurry. I guess they figure we should have our IP to practice on until we know one way or the other, but for those that don't, I don't know what to tell you. If anyone else is in CA and is getting ready to apply to the BRN, I recommend applying for your IP b/c you will probably get it quicker than you will your license. I had my application turned in clear back in April, with only my final transcripts being held up until after my degree was posted (which didn't occur until the end of May). I did everything right on my end, but you can talk until you are blue in the face, because they have their rules. I happen to think their rules are unfair. A friend of mine who took her test on Tuesday already knows she passed! Our transcripts would have gone out around the same time (if not the same day as they were all turned in as a big group from our class so they would get processed faster...so much for that idea!). So either the person who has my file is really slow or they are on vacation b/c nothing else makes sense right now. I took my test over two weeks prior to my other friend. And we have several other friends this occurred to as well. It makes the person who took it earlier think they failed when their friend who took it later finds out they passed first. But, my friend found out she passed two weeks later and worried for nothing! So don't be surprised if you are waiting awhile. And don't be surprised if it shows up quick. You just can never tell with them.
