I am currently in a RN-BSN program and am graduating 5/2015 with my BSN and I was wanting to know when the best time to apply for my DNP? I have been working as a RN for 4 years. I don't want to wait till the last minute to try to get in. Also, does anyone recommend a certain online (even if partial) for DNP? I live in NC.

I wasn't able to apply for a MSN until I completed the BSN because they wanted my BSN grades. I'm not sure if it is the same everywhere but I did go to a public school. So best time would be when your BSN is conferred. Hope that helps

I was able to apply to UC, Simmons and Georgetown during my final BSN semester for conditional/provisional accceptance. I applied in Oct 2013, got accepted to Simmons in Nov 2013, and degree conferred Jan 2014- I start March 23rd 2014. just depends on the school you are trying to get into. some say to not apply until after your conferral date for your degree such as what OCRN3 said.
