What's next?

So I finished all the nursing classes up today, and I know that the FCCA and CPNE come next, but in what order, how long will I have to wait before I am eligible, etc?

What should I expect over the next few days to weeks?

Congratulations!!! if you are within 10 credits (general educ) you are both fcca & cpne eligible. If you want to speed things up give them a call & pay for the fcca. They will offer you a window of a few days in which you will receive it & then give you a deadline to return it. Good luck and continued success!

I am actually on the Excelsior college payment plan, so I do not have to pay for it.

I called today, but they weren't really informative. That's why I thought I'd ask here.

I just completed my nursing classes last week and I immediately called to register for FCCA because I wanted to make sure I got the paper version. I also sent my CPNE application today. Their is some stuff you need to submit with your CPNE application like passport photo, cpr card, etc. go to www.excelsior.edu\cpneapplication you will find all the information there. Do you think you will take a CPNE workshop? I am thinking about east coast Tina,

Thanks for the info.

I'll call tomorrow and set up the FCCA.

I have all the info that I need ready to go to submit my app; just waiting now until it says I am eligible.

No workshops for me. I can't afford it. I plan to do Robs CPNE video. I feel pretty confident in my clincal skills, so I am actually excited about the CPNE!

Hello

Just wondering do you have to send the 600.00 down payment for the CPNE when you submit your application?

Thanks:)

Yes or pay in full.

Alrighty then.

I have called and scheduled the FCCA. They are sending that out, still in paper form, this next week.

I also, have officially filled out the CPNE application.

I think I am going to be sick! :)

I know how you feel I am in the same spot, reality hasn't set in yet.

We can do this

I signed up for NPAC what about you?

Looks like we'll be at the same site together at the same time, because I signed up for the NPAC too!

I am hoping to be able to go to Queens. I know where that hospital is, I am familiar with the bus/Subway system in Queens, and would feel confident in my abilities to get around. My sister is a flight attendant, so getting a cheap flight won't be a problem at all.

However, I'll take any spot that will get me on course to become an RN sooner! :)

I will pm you my date and site when I get, maybe we will test at same time. have you started with the cpne study guide yet, I am going to print it, it will be easier for me to review it.

I ordered the CPNE flashcards and audio cd today, and as soon as I get the study guide I plan to print that off at Kinko's and have it bound so I can carry it with me.

I now have 45 minute drive to work, so the audio cd will be handy.
