Tampa is overrun with r.n. schools. Not the easiest place to get hired for that reason.

My daughter's friend graduated BSN and got a job immediately in NICU. So, it is possible.

I just graduated in April and got hired in the PCU. (contingent on passing nclex). I took the nclex today. There are jobs all over Tampa but now TGH has stopped hiring ADN until 2018 because of magnet status requirements.
Also LPN is basically being relegated to LTC/nursing homes. Florida hospital won't hire anymore at all no matter how awesome they are. We have several excellent agency LPN's that we want but corporate policy says nope.
