I'm working on a marketing campaign and am trying to gather quotes about what labor and delivery nurses like best about their job. I'd love to hear from you!
Apologies UK_nurse I assumed from your posts that you weren't happy with local options.I am a UK midwife and I am interested in women's experience of birth in a variety of settings.
I am also fascinated by options available around the world
No problem Dawn27. my experiences with birth in Uk have all been fantastic. i have had alot of support during my labours from midwives. During all 3 i have only had entonox and quick labours. Hoping the same happens with this one too!

One of the best moments I ever experienced as an L&D nurse was when a dad, the OB doc, and I all burst into tears at the birth of the first of twins. The babies were from an in vitro pregnancy and were the culmination of many years of trying to have a family. I was so privileged.
On the other hand, it has been my great honor to privately baptize babies who have died soon after birth in my arms, and my privilege to present them to their families, all clean and pure and totally unspotted by the world.
I feel blessed to do the work I do.

The best thing about my job is the tears in the eyes of the parents when they look at their newborn baby for the first time :)
