I'm trying to apply to:
1. Medical College of Georgia
2. Georgia State
3. Clayton State
4. Georgia Perimeter College
Are any of them good? I've heard GPC had a good nursing program, is that true?
Another question. I'm currently attending GPC, and so far I've taken:
-College Algebra
-english 1101-1102
-world religions
-political science
-history 2111
-choices for life
-psychology
-sociology
I want to graduate before Fall 2010, but someone told me I couldn't take my science classes in one semester, I had to pass one before I could move on. Will it be possible to graduate before then?
I have to take: Chem 1151&1152 wLab, A&P I&II w/lab, Microbiology. I really want to get out ASAP.

If you want to get out ASAP take off Ga State. The program is 3 years in length once you get accepted. IF time were not an issue I would say pick them because they offer a BSN unlike GPC or MCG(ASN). I can't speak for Clayton's program but it also has a BSN program. Out of the 2 ASN programs I would say choose GPC simply b/c you are already there and wouldn't need to relocate.

To the 2nd poster, GSU also has a 1 year accelerated program (16 months and a previous degree is not required). MCG offers a bachelor's degree in nursing, not an associates.
As far as your courses are concerned, I took chem (fall 08), anatomy I (spring 09), anatomy II (summer 09), and chem II & Micro (fall 09) at GPC. SO, I believe the only way you could possibly do this any faster would be to take chem I in the spring. Then, take chem II in the summer. And, in the fall, take a sped up variant of anatomy I and II (both half semesters). So, that leaves spring 2011 for micro. Though, if you were to enroll at ga state, you could pretty much take micro, anatomy and chem at the same time ( I dont think they have preq requirements like gpc for the aforementioned courses)

My standard answer to your first question is to apply to all of these programs and go with the one that accepts you. You should not be concerned with quality of program unless you are faced with the dilemma of having been chosen for more than one school. Most people are satisfied with attending the school that selected them, because in the end, graduating from any of them will grant you access to the NCLEX. Good luck.
Good point! I always forget GSU's accelerated does not require a bachelors. I didn't realize MCG was a BSN! I thought it was ASN. Thanks for letting me know.

Not to be biased (I'm currently at Ga State in the ACE program) but Ga State is one of the best in the state. I know we have one of the highest first attempt pass rates for the NCLEX.....I don't know if that will help. Maybe? good luck!

I graduated from GPC Nursing School. It's a tough but good program. They have two admission times, the standard Fall admission and an acclerated Spring admission, both graduate at the same time (the Fall class breaks for Summer, the Spring class goes straight thru the 1st summer) You must take A&P I & II before you begin, but I took Micro during the summer break along with a couple of other prereqs I needed to finish.
