What would YOU ask the E.R.? (interview)

Hello all!

I have an ER interview this Thursday at the hospital across town. Ive worked at the Main Hosp of my city for almost 9 years in different capacites, 2 years as an RN on a telemetry floor. Im ready for a change. The ER I applied to is not a trauma center; its the smaller for profit hospital in town. 265 bed hospital i think, 16 beds in the E.R.

Ive scoured the board for questions the ER may ask me and have found many useful things, so now I want to ask...what is it YOU would ask the ER if you were interviewing? Aside from the standard Q's of pay, hours, benefits.

I look forward to all responses. :p

also, can you share what kind of questions you have? (besides the ones you already shared, if you can). how many where in the interview for ed in the larger hospital? some people say they have up to 12 people! one person - 12, making questions?? ... i just can imagine... not really~

i mostly asked the normal questions: orientation length, preceptors, staffing numbers, call requirements. i already work at the larger hospital so the transition is easier for me. the larger ed interview had the one main nurse manager and 2 assistant nms. the smaller ed was the er director and their clinical manager. i had an interview where 5 different people were throwing me questions.

I know this thread is old, but I would like to say THANKS for all the insight. I have THREE ED interviews this week, two tomorrow and one on Tuesday. I am transitioning from travel nursing (MS Tele) to a perm position to change my specialty. Very excited! As always, allnurses comes through, thanks again! :)
