Today I am smoking ribs over hickory, making potato salad and watching the horseraces on tv. My husband and the boys are having a few beers and teasing me about pickling long shots - we'll see

Saturday: Went to wife's dance recital, she clogs - I'm a groupie, weekly grocery shopping trip, dinner at friends for grilled burgers, played with dogs, watched a couple of movies on HBO. We got a 6-month trial when the Comcast guy called to ask how happy we were with our service. (OMG, I can't get into all that here. This is a public website!!) A movie called "Critical Care" caught my eye. It was about end of life decisions for a comatose rich guy. Lots of big names (James Spader, Kyra Sedgewick, Helen Mirren, Anne Bancroft). Super funny to pick apart the medical errors. The guy had a Yankaur suction tube in his mouth to fake an ET tube.

Sunday: To local berry stand to purchase fresh-picked strawberries, lunch at Taco Bell (a favorite), empty out garage and start sorting process (re-organize/ Goodwill/ trash). During the big project taking place out in front of the house, attracted the attention of a teenage neighbor and spent some quality time listening to him talk about high school threats and safety. Broke my heart to get the kid's-eye view of the fears of constantly hearing school fire alarm pulls, lockdown threats, etc. Jeez, it is just not fun being a teenager (was it ever??). Quiet soak in my private sanctuary (hot tub). Gotta get up at 0606 to get ready for my 0800 shift. Nite nite my friends...........

Mavrick! With all the delicious places to eat in Seattle, you had Taco Bell for lunch. I am truly shocked and almost a little offended ;).
