i know this is stupid but i am nervous. can we wear long sleeves but no hoodies? no watch right? how about eating. what kind of breakfast should i eat. worried~ testing next week and i dont wanna get sick from eating to much food but i want enough food for my brain to function. (maybe a power protein bar?) any suggestions are appreciated.
As soon as you get there, you are assigned a locker. You put ALL of your belongings in there and you cannot take ANYTHING AT ALL into the test with you. I was disappointed that I couldn't even bring my bottle of water with me.
My advice is to dress in layers. Typically I am always cold but not sure if it was my nerves, but I was hot in there and was happy I could take off my sweater.
Food: Several people in previous posts recommended protein for breakfast to feed the brain. I had eggs and packed a couple of granola bars and water for a snack. Luckily, my computer shut off after 75 questions and didn't need to go to my locker for a snack--but at least I had a snack for the long ride home.
For whomever brought their purse in with them, where do you keep it? Also, if you are going to eat a snack during your break, do you just go get it out of your purse or what? I'm so lost as to how the NCLEX test-taking process works![/quoteYou can't bring your purse into the testing area, it has to go in your locker.
I would also remind you not to take any study material into the test center, if you travel by car and arrive early then leave it in your car.
No study aids (textbooks, notebooks, classroom notes, etc.)
are allowed anywhere in Pearson Professional Centers.
Wear clothes you are comfortable in and layers if too hot you can take layers off etc
