So, I bought the fetal pig lab from a girl that never used it. He is in a sealed bag w/ formaldihyde(?)and in a box, where do I store it? Does it need to be froze? She didn't freeze it, but I have no idea where to keep it! Thanks.

Why do you have it? Are you going to dissect it? It should be refrigerated, or at least kept as cool as possible. People in my anatomy class would take theirs home in a sixpack cooler (that would never be used for anything else)....
yeah I will have to dissect it. The girl that sold it to me hasn't kept it in a fridge, so I wasn't sure!
I'm sure it will be ok outside the fridge, since specimens are kept in bottles on lab shelves. I just remember ours, in lab, were kept refridgerated....they do tend to get quite smelly...
...just don't get confused and cook it for dinner! When I was in nursing school, I had a dream one night that I cooked my fetal pig over a bunsen burner.....
OMGoodness! I will probably have nightmares now!

What campus are you taking the A&P class ?? Is it A&P II? I am taking the online version of A&P and I'm signed up to take it out of the Gary campus - it requires that I purchase a dissection kit - I'm thinking of dropping it an enrolling in a course that only requires a book. Can anyone give me feedback about the online A&P II class fromt the Gary campus or any feedback about the online class at any of the other campuses. Thanks!
