I am trying to get some experience in CVICU and this teaching hospital has positions opened in Vascular ICU, I never heard of it and I googled it without much success, is it the same as CVICU/CTICU?

I've never heard of it either. But my guess would be an ICU that specializes in vascular patients only (AAA repairs, various types of bypass grafts, etc) I don't know why it makes sense for an ICU to be that specialized since the post-op care of a vascular patient is fairly cookbook ICU care.

Unless they have a high volume of vascular surgery. My current SICU has more vascular cases than anything.
To the op, a vascular ICU would consist of pre/post op AAA, Fem/pop, aortobifem, CEAs, etc. Anykind of bypass that you could imagine!
