This may be more of a management/administration level question. I was wondering why types of technology other departments pay for on a department level? For example, do you use a texting service to text nurses to see if they're available to work, and if so, how much does it cost? Thanks in advance!

Our managers have a broad last system to call everyone in the dept for overtime shifts. Also, they schedule everyone using Clairvia software.

Employees have the option to receive texts about extra shifts. When extra staff are needed, our Assistant Nursing Managers (charge nurses) send out texts.
Do you know what the name of that system is? Thanks!
Do your Charge nurses use their own phone to text or do they use a system like NurseOnAMotorcycle?

We can opt in to receive texts or voicemails when extra shifts hospital-wide are available. I have no idea what the program is or how much it costs. I file that into the not-something-I-worry-my-pretty-head-about pile.
Hah, understood. Thanks for your help!
