I'm guessing intensive care unit something. What's the P mean? It's a type of floor, I guess, but I've never heard of it.

Urology -
Seriously - not sure, maybe pulmonary?

I'd like to know too.. I thought I knew all of the abbreviations of units.
I did a google search and it seems as though ICUP stands for Intensive Care Unit patients... but this might not fit the context of what you read.

Reminds me of the cartoon I saw once where one doctor jumps out from behind a door and says "peek a boo" and the other doc points to the sign on the wall that says "I C U". Not helpful to the OP, but made me laugh.

Oh dear! "ICUP" was a running joke throughout my school years. Are you sure this is an actual unit name? or is someone just teasing you?

Urology!!! Too funny. I think the initials should read IPCU and that stands for Intermediate Progressive Care Unit. It's a like a step-down from intensive care.
It was actual unit name. ICU-P. Turned out to be pulmonary.
