What are your thoughts on traveling as an OR nurse. I went into the OR thinking that what I wanted to do as a traveler. After some years I'm thinking OR traveling probably won't be for me. I've talked to some people I know that say regular staff doesn't help travelers in the OR they expect you to know everything. Plus I'm not all excited anymore about circulating because I don't even feel like a nurse anymore, I used to love it-I feel like all I do is run and get stuff for people. And I'm afraid that'll only get worse as a traveler. I'm not interested at all in working 40hrs a week and that seems to be what OR traveling assignments mostly want. I hate scrubbing. So what are your experiences as traveling as a OR nurse ? I'm thinking of going back to bedside, I'm thinking he OR is not for me anymore.

Sounds more like a non travel related issue. You may just be burnt out. I was and started travelling, I have had a better time travelling and am not so burnt anymore.
Everywhere i have been so far has been travel friendly, plenty of help if needed.
What about the hours? Do you find it difficult to find 36hr/wk assignments? Also the idea of having to figure out where everything is every 3 mos sounds daunting
