I want to pursue nursing and I’m currently admitted in liberal arts pre-clinical nursing for fall 2019 at QCC. I am aware that I need to take the PAX-RN exam to be able to get in the nursing program but I am so confused and don’t know what subjects should I take. Should I finish all the pre-requisites first? Or finish my first semester and apply for the PAX-RNexam?

Did QCC not provider you with an advsior that is familiar with the entry requirements for the nursing program? Generally, this is the best person to guide you along the way with scheduling courses in correct sequence to allow you to apply to the nursing program in the shortest period of time.
However, just be aware of a couple of points -- generally speaking prerequisite courses need to be completed prior to being admitted into the actual nursing program, some programs will allow you to apply while taking some of your prerequisite courses and some may require that they all be completed prior to making application.
Don't forget that some courses may have their own prerequisite courses that may or may not be listed on the nursing program prerequisite list. For example most schools require a basic biology course with lab be passed prior to enrolling in A&P, Chem, or Microbiology. Many programs may not list the basic biology course as a prerequisite since they already know it is a requirement for the other required science courses.
This is the best advice I can offer at this time since I have no idea what QCC is or where it's located that would allow me to see if there was any additional information offered on their website that we may be able to pass on.
Best of luck in your endeavors.

Check with the school's program, it will spell out everything that you need to have done at application time, as well as the standards-GPA, etc. Good luck

You might want to talk to your adviser again, because there probably isn't a whole lot of choice as to what you are going to be taking.
