I saw a doctor today. I just looked him up on my state's licensing portal and he was not listed...to make sure, I called the state and found out he definitely does not have a license to practice in my state.
My question is: what should I do? Should I file a complaint against him for practicing medicine w/out a license or should I call his office and notify them of the problem?
Thanks in advance for sharing your thoughts.

Many years ago the doctor at the office I was going to hired a new "doctor" to add to his practice. I like this new doctor and when ever I was sick and saw him he always gave me the proper prescriptions to make me better. Well lo and behold after this going on for about 3 years one day a state trooper showed up at my house requesting to interview me. He showed me a picture of the doctor and asked if he had ever treated me.
Come to find out the doctor had gone to school, but never took or passed the tests.
Next thing I know the "doctor" is gone, the clinic is out of business and the whole thing seem to have disappeared from the face of the earth. Can we say "plea bargain". I'm sure that is what it is.
Or the guy just moved somewhere else.
Now I always ask to see their credentials.
